How It Works

The process begins by contacting us to be put on our waitlist. We do not require deposits to join our list of potential homes. We do require you to fill out a questionnaire that will be put on file, and any references in the questionnaire will not be contact until we are sure we have a puppy for you. Once we are certain we have a puppy available that meets your ideals, we will contact your references and only once approved, a $500 non-refundable deposit and a signed and returned sales contract will be required to hold your puppy. The remaining purchase price will be due on or before pickup. Puppies are usually ready to go to their new homes between 8-10 weeks of age - the date is entirely dependent on the availability of their eye check appointments. Our puppies range in price between pet homes and show homes and any puppies sold to pet homes will be sold on a non-breeding agreement contract as enforceable by the CKC.

Picking A Puppy

When you fill out a questionnaire you will be asked what qualities and personality traits you are wanting in your new companion. With this in mind, we do our best to match a family with their ideal puppy. We see them everyday, for 24hrs a day, for 8-10 weeks - we know each of their personalities inside and out by then. Striving for great temperaments in our program, every puppy is nearly guaranteed to climb into your lap at some point during a visit - in other words, all our puppies will seem to "pick" you. When multiple puppies are available that match what you are looking for, we of course allow you to pick from that group, however sometimes there is just one star puppy that matches exactly what you want. We do take into account gender and colour preferences, however those traits are last on the list of importance. Families that are very set on those particular traits should to prepared to be waiting a while as personality is a priority for us. We have yet to see a family disappointed on pick up day.

Visits & Pickup Day

We take the biosecurity of our home and dogs seriously and therefore do not allow visits to see our puppies until after vaccinations - usually by that time puppies are old enough to go home (pending eye checks). Only those who have been contacted and have placed a deposit will be allowed to visit with the puppies. We do not ship our puppies and require families to come in person to pickup their new companions. Any travel or airfare fees are the responsibility of the buyer. We live in a quaint town and can provide references for places to stay if needed. Any remaining balance will be due on or before pickup day. Along with your companion you will be sent home with a puppy package (see below). We recommend having your home already set up for your new arrival - this includes their bed and food station, crate and any "no-go" areas sectioned off in your home. Remember to lift up sensitive or dangerous objects. We start all our puppies on crate training as we believe it is a necessary life skill for any dog to know how to relax and handle being crated. This is so important for their well being during routine or unexpected veterinary stays, emergency evacuation and extended travel. Crate training is also important to set your puppy up for success and safety during overnight periods or times when they are home alone.
